Music Sounds Better on a Custom, Room-Sized Sound System

In the birthplace of some of hip hop's biggest names, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Quoc “Q” Pham set out to change the musical experience. With a keen ear for sound quality, Pham spent a year redefining the boom box with a handcrafted five-level sound system. For Pham the project is about musical heritage as much as anything else; “it’s connecting with the past — the musical culture through the system,” he says.
